Claire is on the cover of the February issue of Marie Claire! We have updated our gallery with digital scans.
Claire Danes loves a lot of things about starring on Homeland, but the thing she loves most is the week she gets to spend at CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, each year, geeking out with real-life spies. “It’s so wild, you have no idea,” she says, her eyes glowing. “They curate a group of people who have good stories for us—experts in social media and counterterrorism and drug trafficking—and it’s just fascinating. It’s my favorite thing about the job.”
We’re sitting at Cafe Clover in New York’s West Village on a warm October afternoon, and at the moment, Danes couldn’t look less like a spy. As we had previously posted, Claire is on the cover of the February issue of Harper’s Bazaar. A new video of her behind the scenes of the photo session by Alexi Lubomirski has been released, and you can watch it below.
According to the website Oregon Live, Claire is set to appear on the season 7 premiere of the show PORTLANDIA, which airs at 7 p.m. and repeats at 10 p.m. on IFC Thursday, January 5.

Claire is on the cover of the February issue of Harper’s Bazaar! She talks about the upcoming season of HOMELAND, which starts on January 19, and the current political situation of the world. The full interview by Elizabeth Day is on the issue, out on the 4th of January.
As she returns in the thrilling new series of Homeland – which is set in New York, in the run-up to the presidential inauguration – Claire Danes discusses the febrile phenomenon of Donald Trump, the feverish state of modern politics, and the powerful intensity of her role as a brilliant bipolar CIA agent in the February issue of Harper’s Bazaar.
“I do think that England and America are so closely affiliated that it’s not terribly surprising there’s this parallel phenomenon occurring between our two countries,” Danes says. “The Brexit and Trump phenomena are informed by similar forces and social and economic movements. I think it’s been really stressful; it’s been really scary. I think we’re in a fever state and we’re all really anxious about how we’ve gotten here and why we’ve gotten here.”
In fact, the sixth season of Homeland, which Danes is currently filming, features a female president-elect “who is kind of a composite of the two major candidates of this election: some of Clinton and maybe the smallest dash of Trump. She has the kind of tenacity of Hillary but is a little rogue and more intensely liberal.”Continue Reading (…)
